#3 Director/Senior Director MIS

A Corporation is seeking a dynamic, creative leader to fill the position of Director/Senior Director of MIS. This individual will be responsible for the overall leadership and management of MIS staff and projects and will communicate the vision and strategic planning related to the department’s support of the Company's activities; identifying and implementing technological and systems solutions to existing and emerging business needs.


• Partner with senior management on strategic planning,future IT infrastructure, and establish priorities in alignment with corporate goals.

• Provide the leadership, strategy, and innovation to support business processes and goals.

• Establish and maintain effective communication with user community to evaluate and implement business process changes and new technologies, and to develop effective desktop support systems for office- and field-based employees.

• Lead and drive the effort to rationalize information systems at the enterprise level. - Lead and drive the strategy for IT security and redundancy planning.

• Lead eCommunications (internet and intranet) team, acting as liaison to and coordinating implementation with regulatory, HR, IR, marketing and legal functions.

• Develop, forecast, and track MIS budget.

• Manage, and develop MIS staff (currently 7+).

• Recruit top quality additions to staff as necessary to support Company growth.

• Assess and select training tools and methods for staff development. Education and Experience: A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline. (Masters preferred) and 10+ years experience managing an MIS group is required. At least five years experience in the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industry is preferred. Strong management skills and exceptional customer service focus combined with broad, hands-on IT knowledge and experience are essential qualities for this role.

• Ability to coordinate multiple projects and shifting priorities.

• Experience in selecting and deploying enterprise resource planning applications.

• Familiarity with CFR Part 11 technology compliance preferred.
