#2 Senior Product Manager

The Senior Product Manager will successfully develop innovative marketing plans and programs that willresult in positive rapidly growing sales for assigned products. This individual will also interface with various members of the clinical, regulatory, legal, product development and sales and marketing departments to efficiently implement all plans and programs.


• Develop and execute major programs to meet sales and market share objectives.

• Recommends changes to and manages to the approved promotional budget for assigned product(s).

• Assist in the preparation of updating forecasts under the direction of the group manager for the product.

• Prioritizes projects to effectively manage work and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrates leadership skills with cross-functional teams.

• Able to present company information to internal and external audiences.

• Identify and evaluate new best practice vendors that will allow the company to respond to changing market conditions.

• Manage suppliers and vendors relative to strategy development, execution and performance.

• Understand and comply with medical, legal and regulatory guidelines for promotional practices.

• Collaborate directly with R&D project and clinical managers to enhance product offerings or pipeline relative to company focus.

• Develop and maintain relationships with key thought leaders from both a strategic and medical educational standpoint.

• Monitor competitive activity and develop the appropriate tactics to respond to varied threats or opportunities Education and Experience The position requires a BA/BS (MBA desirable) and candidates must have 7+ year of pharmaceutical industry experience, and at least 4 years of product marketing or corollary experience.

The ideal candidate will also possess:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• The ability to work independently and within a team environment.

• The ability to summarize large amounts of information and develop recommendations, in addition to maintaining an understanding of the medical literature and its role in marketing.

• Computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
